Collecting data and updating the database

Databases must be always kept up-to-date so you should regularly collect new data and update old databases. Both procedures are quite simple.

Updating the database

While submitting your site, you can delete dead resources from the database by clicking the "Delete URL" button. If a resource changes its topic or the type of links it publishes, you should click the "Edit URL" button to change the properties of the resource in the database.

Collecting data

You can collect data even when you just surf the Net – if you come across a directory, you can just find the submission form and click "Add URL" button. After you specify the properties of this directory, the resource will be added to the database.

If you have a list of resources in the text format, you can import it into the database: Database > Import Links From Text File... If such a list of resources is published on a web page, you can import it right from the browser: Database > Import Links From Page...

You will have to select the links that will be added to the database.
